A new flight route between London Oxford Airport and the Isle of Man has been announced for Summer 2012.

Isle of Man based Manx2.com will run the daily service from the 8 May 2012.

Flights will depart from Ronaldsway on the Isle of Man at 10:55 GMT and take one hour with return flights departing Oxford at 15:15 GMT.

The move comes in the wake of figures revealing 13 out of the 18 scheduled routes from Ronaldsway Airport in December saw an increase in passengers.

The Isle of Man government is hoping to see more growth, especially in charter traffic which increased by 30% in 2011.

The new service will also provide a connection for passengers travelling to Jersey.
