ARC - Ladbrokes-St-Leger
Night Race

Through the acquisition of Arena Leisure Plc in March 2012, and the subsequent merger with Northern Racing Ltd, Reuben Brothers now own Britain’s largest racecourse group, Arena Racing Company (ARC). The group owns and operates 16 turf and all-weather racecourses in the UK, accounting for nearly 40% of UK racing, hosting over 500 race meetings a year. ARC is made up of the following sixteen racecourses: Bath, Brighton, Chepstow, Doncaster, Ffos Las, Fontwell Park, Great Yarmouth, Hereford, Lingfield Park, Newcastle, Royal Windsor, Sedgefield, Southwell, Uttoxeter, Wolverhampton and Worcester.

Through its ownership of Doncaster Racecourse, ARC is responsible for hosting the world’s oldest classic, the Ladbrokes St Leger. Other big racedays in the ARC calendar include the All-Weather Championships £1.1 million Finals Day on Good Friday, the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow, the Northumberland Plate Festival at Newcastle and the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter, to name but a few as well as exciting non-racing events such as live music concerts. Each racecourse provides versatile hospitality space which is also used for corporate events including conferencing, meetings, exhibitions and more.

ARC also owns and operates two hotels, the 4 star Marriott Hotel & Country Club at Lingfield Park Resort and the Holiday Inn at Wolverhampton Racecourse, plus three golf courses at Newcastle, Lingfield Park Resort and Southwell Racecourses. The group is also a major shareholder in At The Races (ATR), the broadcaster taking racing coverage to up to 2 million different TV viewers and 2.8m online users each month in the UK and Ireland. ATR also distributes UK and Irish racing into over 20 countries around the world. ATR won ‘Best Specialist Channel’ at the Broadcast Digital Awards 2012.
