David and Simon Reuben got rich in the seventies and eighties for trading in metals. They continued the trend in the nineties when they entered the Russian market – and eventually became the leading foreign investors, and the third largest group of global metals market.
Both avoid public exposure. Their portfolio includes: The Wellington Pub Company, Metalloyd (metals), Metro Bank, Luup (E-Commerce) and many more. Their connection with the sport is due to their holdings in the Northern Racing Company – an operator of horseracing sites across the UK. The company also operates a golf course.
