UK           

RB own The Curtain Hotel and Members Club in Shoreditch, one of London’s newest and most sought-after luxury lifestyle hotels.  The hotel was sold by and then leased back to New York hotelier Michael Achenbaum and his partner Jeffrey Levine.  The freehold comprises over 115,000 sq ft GIA over six stories with 120 luxury bedrooms and suites, a private members’ club, a rooftop pool and restaurant overlooking the City skyline, wellness centre, live performance room as well as co-working space for members and hotel guests.  It is home to acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster restaurant and The Green Room cocktail bar, named one of “London’s Best Bars Right Now” by Conde Nast Traveller UK.

RB has commenced construction on the Piccadilly Estate into a five-star Mayfair hotel development with stunning views over Green Park will feature 102 keys, a 2,360 sq ft grand ballroom, restaurant, bars, a spa, pool and gym, and seven residential apartments which will benefit from all the hotel amenities. Th properties include the Grade I listed 94 Piccadilly, formerly home of the In & Out Club, 90-93 Piccadilly (Green Park Chambers) and 95 Piccadilly (the former American Club). It also involves the adjacent non-listed buildings at 42 Half Moon Street and 10 – 12 White Horse Street.

RB hold the freehold of 47,48, & 49-50 Poland Street (together with land to the rear of 54-55 Great Marlborough Street) in Soho. The site comprises three prominent retail & office buildings currently totalling 53,000 sq ft GIA and benefits from planning consent by Westminster for demolition and redevelopment into a hotel with restaurant and bar space consisting of over 74,000 sq ft GIA on two basement levels, ground and six upper floors. RB also own the neighbouring site at 54 & 55-57 Great Marlborough Street with prominent adjoining freehold buildings currently totalling 44,000 sq ft and 100 ft of prime frontage. This has full planning consent granted for redevelopment into a 118-key hotel with restaurant and retail space of over 63,400 sq ft over two basement levels, ground and seven upper floors. Shiva Hotels, who currently own and manage various hotels across London, will lead on the operations of both assets under a JV partnership.

RB own a portfolio of hotels across England,which amongst others includes the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club with its 18 hole golf course, and the 154-room Hilton Garden Inn with a hospitality suite for around 400 guests at its Doncaster Racecourse.

Italy         

In Venice, RB’s hospitality asset is a 15th century palazzo in the heart of Venice, just a stone throw away from the Gallerie dell’Accademia.  The building has tall ceilings that allow for airy bedrooms and a unique design.  The Palazzo Experimental is a 4 star hotel boasting 33 keys, 70-cover restaurant, 40-cover terrace & 30-cover cocktail bar.  Like in Verbier, the hotel is operatated in partnership with Experimental.

In Rome, RB own the former seat of the Central Bank of Italy on Parliament Square in Rome.  Plans are in hand for the conversion of the historic 7,500mproperty into a luxury destination, featuring in addition to suites and bedrooms, restaurants and bars wrapping around a central garden as well as a spa and rooftop amenities.  RB have entered into contractual arrangements with Corinthia to develop, lease and operate it as an ultra-luxury hotel.  The hotel is targeting a premium positioning in the city.

In Capri, RB own Hotel La Palma which was the first and oldest hotel on the island dating back to 1822, and is located just 100 yards from the celebrated La Piazzetta Square.  The property features 77 keys, a restaurant/bar on the ground floor and a roof top bar.  Plans are underway for its substantial refurbishment.

In Sanremo, RB own the Hotel De Paris located in the centre of city adjacent to the Casino.  The 4-star hotel features rooms which are all sea facing and a spa/wellness area.   Construction is set to commence in the port on a second hotel overlooking the sea with 114 keys and a rooftop hanging garden accessible from the overlying Trento Trieste promenade. 

Switzerland

In Switzerland, RB own the Hotel Nevai in Verbier.  The hotel features 39 keys, a spa & wellness center, 2 F&B areas, and hosts the famous ski resort’s Number 1 night club, Le Farm Club.  The hotel is operated in partnership with boutique hospitality group Experimental. The site is only 1 minute from the resort center and a 5 minute drive to the ski lifts.  Verbier is one of the most exclusive Alpine ski resort located in South-West Switzerland close to the French and Italian borders.

Ibiza

In Ibiza, RB own El Hotel Pacha.  The 57-suite 45,000 sq ft building is located in the heart of Ibiza town’s top leisure area, surrounded by famous bars and right in front of the marina, close to Talamanca Bay.  The hotel features a restaurant, bar, and event space whilst plans are underway to upgrade the property.  The transaction represents RB’s third investment in Ibiza and adds to the 7.3km of coastline they already own in Cala Conta, Cala Bassa, & Es Calo, on Ibiza’s south west coast.

Greece

In Greece,  RB own La Residence hotel in Kalafatis Bay which is located in the south east of Mykonos island. The luxury boutique hotel is only a few minutes away from the sandy Kalafatis beach, boasts 25 suites with balconies, five swimming pools, spa, restaurant & bar.  RB plan to further enhance the asset’s operations and facilities.

New York

RRB own a 39,000 sqf building near Union Square at 16 East 16th Street in the Flatiron District of New York. Plans have been drawn up for its renovation and footprint increase to create an 83,000 sqft luxury lifestyle hotel offering 88 keys, rooftop bar and restaurant, full service spa and gym, and a 5,000 sq ft members club. Pre-development work is underway with construction anticipated to commence in 2020.

Belmond

Reuben Brothers Limited were the largest shareholder in the company at Q3 2018 with around 12.5m shares, before the acquisition of the luxury international hotel company and adventure travel operator  by LVMH Moët Hennessy.   The group first invested in the NYSE listed company in 2007, when it was known as Orient-Express Hotels.
