RB own The Curtain Hotel and Members Club in Shoreditch, one of London’s newest and most sought-after luxury lifestyle hotels.  The hotel was sold by and then leased back to New York hotelier Michael Achenbaum and his partner Jeffrey Levine.  The freehold comprises over 115,000 sq ft GIA over six stories with 120 luxury bedrooms and suites, a private members’ club, a rooftop pool and restaurant overlooking the City skyline, wellness centre, live performance room as well as co-working space for members and hotel guests.  It is home to acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster restaurant and The Green Room cocktail bar, named one of “London’s Best Bars Right Now” by Conde Nast Traveller UK.


RB hold the freehold of 47,48, & 49-50 Poland Street (together with land to the rear of 54-55 Great Marlborough Street) in Soho. The site comprises three prominent retail & office buildings currently totalling 53,000 sq ft GIA and benefits from planning consent by Westminster for demolition and redevelopment into a hotel with restaurant and bar space consisting of over 74,000 sq ft GIA on two basement levels, ground and six upper floors. RB also own the neighbouring site at 54 & 55-57 Great Marlborough Street with prominent adjoining freehold buildings currently totalling 44,000 sq ft and 100 ft of prime frontage. This has full planning consent granted for redevelopment into a 118-key hotel with restaurant and retail space of over 63,400 sq ft over two basement levels, ground and seven upper floors. Shiva Hotels, who currently own and manage various hotels across London, will lead on the operations of both assets under a JV partnership.


RB own a portfolio of hotels across England, including the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club with its 18 hole golf course, and the 154-room Hilton Garden Inn with a hospitality suite for around 400 guests at its Doncaster Racecourse.

Europe Owned

In Swtzerland, RB own the Hotel Nevai in Verbier.  The hotel features 39 keys, a spa & wellness center, 2 F&B areas, and hosts the famous ski resort’s Number 1 night club, Le Farm Club.  The hotel is operated in partnership with boutique hospitality group Experimental. The site is only 1 minute from the resort center and a 5 minute drive to the ski lifts.  Verbier is one of the most exclusive Alpine ski resort located in South-West Switzerland close to the French and Italian borders.


In Venice, RB’s hospitality asset is a 15th century palazzo in the heart of Venice, just a stone throw away from St Mark’s Square.  The building has tall ceilings that allow for airy bedrooms and a unique design.  The Palazzo Experimental is a 4 star hotel boasting 33 keys, 70-cover restaurant, 40-cover terrace & 30-cover cocktail bar.  Like in Verbier, the hotel is operatated in partnership wit Experimental.


In Rome, RB own the former seat of the Central Bank of Italy on Parliament Square in Rome.  Plans are in hand for the conversion of the historic 7,500mproperty into a luxury destination, featuring in addition to suites and bedrooms, restaurants and bars wrapping around a central garden as well as a spa and rooftop amenities.  RB have entered into contractual arrangements with Corinthia to develop, lease and operate it as an ultra-luxury hotel.  The hotel is targeting a premium positioning in the city.


Reuben Brothers Limited were the largest shareholder in the company at Q3 2018 with around 12.5m shares, before the acquisition of the luxury international hotel company and adventure travel operator  by LVMH Moët Hennessy.   The group first invested in the NYSE listed company in 2007, when it was known as Orient-Express Hotels.

Debt Financing

Reuben Brothers hold significant funds available for debt financing.

RB provide the financing over the Savoy, the iconic central London five star hotel.  The Savoy offers 267 bedrooms, seven F&B outlets including the Gordon Ramsey affiliated Savoy Grill, 23,034 sq ft of meeting/banqueting space, spa with 9m indoor pool, and fitness centre.

RB formerly held the loans secured over three iconic global luxury hotels.  The financing was for; the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, featuring 494 keys; the 20-story Plaza Hotel in Midtown Manhattan featuring 282 keys and 152 private condominiums, the Dream Downtown in the Meatpacking New York district featuring 315 keys.
