The Reuben brothers and Bruce Jarvis’ Pearcroft could deliver the first speculative office at their Merchant Square scheme in Paddington, W2, in 2009. They won detailed consent for phase one of the 1.8m sq ft Merchant Square last week. This includes a 420,000 sq ft office block and a 16-storey, 275,000 sq ft block of flats. Works will start later this year. The entire scheme will provide more than 800,000 sq ft of offices.
