Since opening a new business aviation facility six months ago, the UK’s Oxford Airport continues to record increased traffic. A new 21,000-sq-ft hangar is scheduled to open shortly, and the airport is considering erecting new T-hangars and adding a second floor to the general aviation terminal.

Oxford Airport is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. Oxford’s fire and rescue service meets CAT 4 requirements, which cover charter aircraft through the Hawker 4000 and Bombardier Challenger.

For larger aircraft such as Gulfstreams, Globals and Embraer Legacys, the airport offers a higher level of fire and rescue service on-demand. Oxford customers can fly to London in helicopters operated by Oxford Air Services.

In May, new charter operator FlairJet will begin operating two Embraer Phenom 100s from the airport.
