17 February 2017 – Daily Telegraph

Just three years after Lingfield Park made history with the first meeting to be staged on Good Friday, Arena Racing, the track’s owner, will stage an Easter extravaganza at three ofits courses – Lingfield, Newcastle and Bath.

The All-Weather Championships Finals Day at Lingfield will offer prize-money of £1million, while Newcastle and Bath will stage cards worth £250,000 and £175,000 respectively on April 14.

The highlight at Newcastle will be the inaugural Burradon Stakes, a £100,000 conditions race for three year-olds over the straight mile. Following the redevelopment of Bath last year, Good Friday will be its richest race day, to open the 2017 season. The feature race will be a £60,000 handicap for three-year olds over a mile and three furlongs.
